Charles Kleckley is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives. He has represented the 36th District since winning a special election in 2005.
Kleckley has been Speaker of the House since 2012 and is the former chairman of the House Insurance Committee. He is also a member of the House Executive Committee and House Audit Advisory Committee. He further serves as a caucus member for the Acadian Delegation, the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation and the Louisiana Rural Caucus.
Prior to joining the Louisiana Legislature, Kleckley served as president of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
Among his numerous professional and civic affiliations are the Southwest Louisiana Partnership for Economic Development, the West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of South Lake Charles. He is a board member for the Louisiana Workers Compensation Corporation, Citizens Property Insurance, First National Bank of Lake Charles, and the Profit and Loss Business Association. He is also a member of the caucuses of
Kleckley received his BS in Finance from McNeese State University.
