Jennifer McMahon is Associate Vice President of Legal, Governmental & Regulatory Affairs for the LHA and Vice President of the Metropolitan Hospital Council of New Orleans.
In her role at the Association, she advocates for member hospitals at all levels of government. Jennifer has developed advantageous legislative relationships for hospitals since 2006. In addition to being an integral part of the development and implementation of the LHA advocacy agenda, she participates in legislative work groups related to hospitals, staffs the Community Hospital Coalition for the hospital service districts, leads hospital efforts at the Pharmacy Board, leads hospital legislative efforts on managed care related issues, and leads hospital legislative efforts on hospital service district issues. She also manages litigation efforts, drafts bills and amendments, and assists members with legal research.
Jennifer is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Louisiana Society of Hospital Attorneys, Women’s Healthcare Executive Network and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She received her Juris Doctorate, Bachelor of Civil Law, and Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University.
